Cats at Goldra

Although adoptions have taken place, we had to take in a few desperate cases and as of 29th July, we still have 32 adult cats and 10 kittens. From the 32 adult cats, 18 are either ferals or extremely shy, thus difficult to re-home but the remaining 15 are tamed, gentle, affectionate animals, all looking for a home of their own. Their pictures, with brief description of their personalities are shown below.

After the shelter closes, we will continue trying to find homes for the Quintinha cats. We will also be forming a charity, whose main goal will be to neuter stray cats and re-home as many as possible.

All adult Quintinha cats will be vaccinated and we will be asking for an adoption fee to cover the cost of the basic vaccine. For the kittens, an adoption fee is also required to cover basic vaccine plus eventual sterilization to be done through the charity once the animal turns 5-6 months old. We follow up on all adoptions and, if in the future the cat cannot be kept for any reason, we expect the animal to be returned to us.

If you are interested in adopting a cat featured on the site, please contact Helena on 351-91-8149187 and/or helena.neves@sympatico.ca

GIN & TONIC: these 2 siblings, brother and sister, were thrown inside a plastic bag into a S. Bras shop. They are tamed, beautiful and will be vaccinated shortly. As the siblings are extremely close to each other they would certainly love to be re-homed together although they will understand that it may not be possible to do so. For more info on Gin and Tonic, please call Helena at 91-8149187 or e-mail at helena.neves@sympatico.ca

DON VITO - A veteran resident at the Quintinha, Don Vito is a very affectionate male with a sleek beautiful mostly black fur. Without much fuss, Don Vito manages to always keep the order in the clan. For more information about Don Vito, please contact Helena at 91-8149187

QUASIMODO walks with a tilted head but as if aware of his handicap, he just leans on to people showing his devotion to anyone who pays attention to him. He is rather quiet and like all felines, loves to sit on a sunny spot. Extremely affectionate with humans but not keen with other cats, Quasimodo will follow you everywhere and will love you to bits if you decide to adopt him. For more information about Quasimodo, please contact Helena at 91-8149187 and/or Helena.neves@sympatico.ca
